Beaches in Philippines

The Philippines is an archipelagic country composed of 7,107 islands with 82 provinces divided in 18 regions. The Philippines is known for having its rich biodiversity and it is the main tourist attraction in the country. Its beaches, mountains, rainforests, islands and diving spots are among the country’s most popular tourist destinations. The country’s rich historical and cultural heritage is also one of the attractions of the Philippines.

Popular destinations among tourists are El Nido in Palawan, Boracay, Cebu, Manila and many more.

Aklan

Aklan is a province in the Philippines located in the Western Visayas region. Its capital is Kalibo. The province is situated in the northwest portion of Panay Island, bordering Antique province to the southwest, and Capiz province to the east.

Antique

Antique or is a province of the Philippines located in the region of Western Visayas. The province’s capital, San Jose, is located in the western portion of Panay Island and borders Aklan, Capiz and Iloilo to the east, whilst facing the Sulu Sea to the west.

El Nido (Palawan)

El Nido is a Philippine municipality on Palawan island. It’s known for its white-sand beaches, coral reefs and as the gateway to the Bacuit archipelago, a group of islands with steep karst cliffs. Miniloc Island is famed for the clear waters of its Small and Big lagoons. Nearby Shimizu Island has fish-filled waters. The area has many dive sites, including Dilumacad Island’s long tunnel leading to an underwater cavern.

San Vicente Port Barton

Port Barton is a village on the north-west coast of the island of Palawan in the Philippines. It’s about 23km north-west of Roxas.

Port Barton is a quieter, smaller, and more laid-back version of El Nido. The activities you can do here are very similar to those in El Nido (but for about half the price), including for example Tours lettered A through D, kayak rentals, etc.

Port Barton doesn’t usually attract luxury seeking, status vacationers. Instead, it has become a popular choice for budget backpackers and other adventurous international travellers, who appreciate and enjoy the rural, relaxed atmosphere and natural beauty that this quiet and peaceful beachside village, on the edge of the rainforest, has to offer.

Siargao
