It is home to extraordinary marine life like Whales, dolphins, sharks, turtles and Napoleon wrasse. It is home to no less that 600 fish species, 360 coral species, 11 shark species, 13 dolphin and whale species, and 100 bird species.

The Apo reef is a 34 square kilometres Marine Natural Park famous for its exquisite marine life and diving. It is the world’s second-largest contiguous coral reef system and the largest in the country. Marine life includes shark, barracuda, manta rays and numerous fishes and micro species.

Monad Shoal is a world well known dive site situated in Malapascua. It is famous site to spot Thresher Sharks and manta ray. Thresher shark are very uncommon and graceful species and can be spotted in early morning hours at Monad Shoal.

Puerto Galera has many protected cove with old coral patio nurseries and uncommon marine species. There are around 30 dive spots around Sabang Beach and White Beach! The Marine life is rich here and divers can see Whitetip Reef Sharks and big Pelagic Fishes. These all add to making diving at Puerto Galera amongst the best in the Philippines.
Cabilao is a small island located west of Bohol famous for hammerhead sharks. Near the lighthouse, divers come to watch the hammerhead sharks which assemble amongst December and June. This dive site is also great for underwater photography as scorpion, stonefish, leaf fish, ghost pipefish, sea snakes and shrimps are often seen here.

You can often see hammerhead sharks, Barracudas, Giant Trevallies, Dogtooth Tunas, Grey Reef Sharks and Whitetip Reef Sharks. Beware! The sea current is strong here and diving for experienced divers is recommended.
